Posts for March 2004
I learned an interesting lesson yesterday to do with haircare. I now know that a "#6" cut is not the same as a 6mm cut. In fact, a 6mm cut is a #2.
I got a set of clippers, which are only labelled in mm. I had always assumed that the "#6" cuts i'd get at the hairdresser were 6mm. Today when I was at the shops I saw a set of clippers where the combs were labelled in both mm and #s. The ones I could see only went up to #4 and that was 12mm.
Still, the woman likes it and it's fun running my hand across it.

I added dates to movie reviews and added the ability to view the Movie Review page by date (so you can see the latest ones at the top). Of course given that there were previously no dates stored for movie reviews i've set the rest of them to 1st January 2004.
While adding this new functionality I've come to realise how bad the Junkheap code is as far as maintaining it goes, so I'm going to do it all nicely from scratch again because some of the stuff I want to do can't be done with the current code / data layout. However, there is some good stuff there (on the admin side) which I hope to keep.
I've added a new box on the right hand side with the last 5 movie reviews. I realised people had no way of seeing if there was new movie reviews from the home page.
Enough ranting, time to start redesiging! :)

Zuid's mum told me the other day that we should start posting again, so who am I to argue.
For those of you that don't know, Zuid is now living in Poland. With my cousin (female). In the room my parents lived in when they got married. That's just weird. He's currently without Internet access but working on it, so expect him to start posting in Polish soon.
I've been watching a lot of movies lately, which I should start writing movie reviews for. I'm not very good at writing them though. Still, I suppose the more I practice the easier it will become. I might get cracking on one now!
