Dave Barry has done his usual year in review article. I haven't actually read it yet, but Dave Barry is generally amusing so it should be good.
He does occasionally talk about American sports and stuff, but he is a columnist for the Miami Herald so he's allowed to. Plenty of generic humour as well though (or 'humor' as they call it).
